- Medical Benefits: Scholars are expected to seek treatment only at medical centers or dispensaries attached to the universities or institutes they are enrolled in or at the nearest government hospital. Bills are settled as admissible according to AMA/CGHS norms.

Eligibility Criteria for the Indian Government (ICCR) Scholarship:
- Applicants for doctoral or post-doctoral courses should include a synopsis of the proposed research area.
- Aspiring performing arts students should enclose video or audio cassettes of their recorded performances if possible.
- Your English should be good.
- Priority is given to students with no prior study experience in India.
- The scholarship is not available for those who want to study MBBS/MD, dentistry, or nursing courses.
- Indian universities and institutions have their own eligibility criteria.
- Acceptance of an application by the university does not guarantee admission. A scholarship is awarded only upon confirmation of admission by the ICCR.
