Canadian Francophonie Scholarship Program 2025

The Canadian Francophonie Scholarship Program (CFSP) 2025-2026 offers fully funded scholarships for international students pursuing master’s and PhD degrees. On average, the scholarship provides an annual funding amount of $35,000.

This program is designed to build organizational capacity by training individuals from developing countries within the Francophonie. The Government of Canada fully funds the program and has entrusted its management to the Canadian Bureau for International Education and the World University Service of Canada consortium since January 1, 2015.

The program aims to contribute to the development of recipient countries by focusing on:

Candidates selected by their home countries can apply for university studies leading to a master’s or doctoral degree, technical and vocational training, or short-term internships. However, clinical training in pharmacy, medicine, and dentistry is excluded. The selection process is based on a quota system that allows recipient countries to set their priorities for training and the level of education needed to develop their institutions.
