Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for a Yale University scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • A supporting statement from a school official, college access counsellor, financial aid officer, or community leader.
  • Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
  1. provide proof of enrollment or eligibility for the Federal Free or Reduced Price Lunch program (FRPL).
  2. have received or are eligible to receive an ACT or SAT testing fee waiver.
  3. be enrolled in a federal, state, or local program that assists students from low-income families.
  4. be a ward of the state or an orphan
  5. have an annual family income that falls within the income eligibility guidelines set by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service,
  6. live in federally subsidized public housing, a foster home, be homeless, or receive public assistance.
  • One of the English language test results is required:
  1. TOEFL scores of at least 100 on the internet-based test and 600 on the paper-based test.
  2. IELTS scores in at least band 7.
  3. Pearson Test scores of 70.
