The University of Ibadan (UI) has officially released its admission list for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Please note that UI releases its admission list in multiple batches. If you don’t find your name in the initial batch, don’t lose hope—there may be subsequent releases.
The admission list is available online through JAMB CAPS. Follow the steps below to check your status.
How to Check UI Admission Status
You can check your UI admission status via two methods: the JAMB CAPS portal or the university’s admission portal.
1. Via JAMB CAPS Portal
Follow these steps:
- Visit the JAMB CAPS portal: https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/
- Log in using your JAMB credentials.
- Navigate to the “Check Admission Status” tab.
- Click on “Admission Status” or “Access my CAPS.”
- If you’re on mobile, enable desktop view by selecting the three-dotted menu (⋮) on the top right of your screen, and choose “Desktop site.”
- Click on “Admission Status” to see if you’ve been offered admission.
Possible outcomes:
- Case 1: Congratulations – You’ve been offered admission! You can accept or reject it on the platform.
- Case 2: Admission in Progress – Keep checking; your status may change soon.
- Case 3: Not Admitted – Don’t worry, there may be more admission lists released.
Once admitted, you can print your admission slip directly from the JAMB portal.
2. Via UI Website
Once the list is available on UI’s portal, candidates can check their status by logging in at https://admissions.ui.edu.ng/.
- Enter your JAMB registration number as your username (e.g., 202411111111UI).
- Your password is your surname at first login (e.g., Ajamu, without hyphens in compound names).
- Click “Sign in” to view your admission status.
If offered admission, congratulations! Follow the next steps to complete the process.
