Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship
To be eligible for the McCall MacBain Scholarship, you must meet ONE of the following criteria:
- Be a student who will complete your undergraduate degree by August 2025
- Have earned your first bachelor’s degree in the last five years (January 2019 or later)
- Have earned your first bachelor’s degree more than five years ago and will be 30 years or younger in 2024
You must also meet the McGill University degree and language requirements.
English Language Proficiency Requirements
TOEFL:
- IBT (Internet-Based Test): 86 overall, no less than 20 in each component
IELTS:
- Band score of 6.5 or greater
Proof of Proficiency Not Required if:
- Your mother tongue is English
- You have obtained (or are about to obtain) an undergraduate degree from Canada or the United States
- You have lived and attended university, or been employed, for at least four consecutive years in a country where English is the acknowledged primary language
- You have obtained (or are about to obtain) an undergraduate or graduate degree from a recognized foreign institution where English is the language of instruction
