Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the KAIST scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants should possess a high school diploma.
- Applicants holding Korean citizenship (dual citizenship) are not eligible to apply for the scholarship as foreign students.
- International applicants MUST satisfy one of the following requirements:
- Neither of the applicant’s parents is a Korean citizen.
- For applicants of Korean origin, they must have received their entire elementary, junior high, and high school education outside of Korea at a comparable and equivalent level to that provided in Korea.
- Students must maintain a GPA of 2.7 out of 4.3 at KAIST after their freshman year.
- While the medium of instruction at KAIST is English, applicants do not need to have Korean language skills for admission. But, after getting admitted, they need to obtain TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) level 2 for graduation.
