NYSC Reacts to Report of Temporary Suspension of Biometrics

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has responded to reports circulating on social media about the temporary suspension of biometrics and clearance for corps members. Emeka-Rems Mgbemena, the NYSC Director of Media, clarified that the report is false and should be disregarded. He emphasized that the information being spread was created by individuals with malicious intent. Mgbemena urged corps members to rely only on official NYSC channels for accurate information.

This response follows earlier reports that the NYSC had postponed activities, including monthly clearance and community development services, due to nationwide protests. The NYSC also announced that information regarding the resumption of these activities would be communicated in due course.

Additionally, the NYSC provided a redeployment option for married female corps members, advising them to report to the nearest orientation camp with the necessary documents for verification.
