JAMB CAPS admissions: JAMB Stops Regularization

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is taking a firm stand against irregular admissions. In a recent announcement, JAMB has stated that starting in the 2024 academic year, all admissions to tertiary institutions in Nigeria must be exclusively through the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).

The board emphasized that it will no longer tolerate any illegal or irregular admissions conducted by any tertiary institution.

JAMB has made it clear that candidates should not accept any admission offers from institutions that bypass the CAPS system in 2024.

According to JAMB, all admissions into first-degree programs, ND, HND, NCE, and other categories like full-time, part-time, distance learning, outreach, and sandwich courses must be solely through CAPS.

This new directive means that shortcuts are no longer an option.

JAMB CAPS admissions: JAMB Stops Regularization for Candidates

JAMB will no longer “regularize” admissions for candidates who do not follow the official CAPS admissions process.

Why is CAPS Important?

JAMB CAPS ensures a streamlined, fair, and transparent admission process for both institutions and candidates. It eliminates the possibility of unauthorized admissions and guarantees that everyone adheres to the established rules.
